Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 27, 2026
The short version
Arrivio does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything stays on your device.
What data is stored
Arrivio stores the following data locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local:
- Your saved places — names, addresses, and coordinates of locations you add (e.g. "Work", "Gym")
- Your preferences — transport mode (driving, walking, cycling) and enabled/disabled state
- Cached ETA results — temporarily stored for 30 minutes to reduce API calls
What data is sent externally
Arrivio makes requests to the MapBox API (api.mapbox.com) to:
- Geocode listing addresses (convert an address to coordinates)
- Calculate drive/walk/bike times between the listing and your saved places
These requests include the listing address coordinates and your saved place coordinates. No other personal data is sent. Arrivio does not operate any servers of its own.
What data is NOT collected
- No analytics or tracking of any kind
- No browsing history
- No personal information
- No data is sent to Arrivio servers (there are none)
- No third-party scripts, ads, or trackers
Third-party services
Arrivio uses MapBox for geocoding and routing. MapBox's own privacy policy governs how they handle API requests.
Your control
You can delete all stored data at any time by:
- Removing individual places in the Arrivio options page
- Uninstalling the extension (removes all stored data)
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
